About Us

                      PM SHRI Government Hr.Sec. School Arunodaya ,Itanagar is located in the heart of Itanagar , the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Initially, the school started functioning as LKG and UKG  managed by R.K Mission organisation which was inaugarated by R. N. Haldipur, the then lietenant Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. Subsequentaly it has been transfered to the Department of Social welfare , Govt of Arunachal Pradesh.Owing to increase of students' enrolment ,it has been upgraded to primary schoolwhich was inaugrated  by Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy , the then president of  India in 1983. On  26th July 1991 again the school was upgraded from primary schhol to Middle School . The school again upgraded to secondary and on 5th Feb'2008 ,the school upgraded to Higher Secondary . 

The school  is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and sent it up its 1st batch of AISSE in 2001 since then the academic courses offered in the school is accordance with the subjects of NCERT. Various Examinations such as UPSC, APPSC and  Department Recruitment Examination are being conducted here as the exam centre .
