Admission Guidelines for Government School (Example)
Introduction
The school welcomes students from all backgrounds to join our inclusive learning community. Our admission process is designed to ensure fair and transparent admission of students based on merit and availability of seats.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Criteria: The minimum age for admission to Class I is 5 years, and the maximum age for admission to Class VIII is 14 years as on June 30th of the year of admission.
- Residential Criteria: Students residing within the school’s designated geographical area are given preference.
- Caste and Category: Admission is open to students from all castes and categories.
Admission Process
- Registration: Parents can register their children for admission through our online portal or in-person at the school office.
- Submission of Documents:
- Birth Certificate: A copy of the child’s birth certificate from the competent authority.
- Address Proof: Proof of residence within the school’s designated area (e.g., utility bills, rent agreement).

- Interview:
- A personal interview with the child will be conducted by a panel of teachers to assess their personality, communication skills, and aptitude.
- Admission Committee Decision: The admission committee will review the entrance test scores, interview performance, and other factors to decide on admission.
- Notification of Admission: Parents will be notified of admission through SMS/email/SMS.

- Online Registration: January 1st to January 30th
- Submission of Documents: January 1st to February 15th
- Entrance Test: February 16th (for Classes I to V) and February 20th (for Classes VI to VIII)
- Interviews: March 1st to March 15th

Fee Payment
